Itinerary:
Day 1 – Arrival in Leh:
Upon arrival at Leh, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is kept free for rest and acclimatization to the high altitude. Relax at the hotel, drink plenty of water, and prepare for the upcoming adventure in the mountains.
Day 2 – Leh to Sham Valley:
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing trip to Sham Valley. You will first visit the Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to Indian soldiers who fought in the Kargil War. Later, stop at the Indus–Zanskar Sangam, where the Indus River meets the Zanskar River. You will also visit the campus of Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh, popularly known as the “3 Idiots school.” After sightseeing, return to Leh for an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La:
After breakfast, start your journey toward Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at around 18,000 ft. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and stop at the pass for photos and refreshments. Continue your drive to Nubra Valley, known for its sand dunes and beautiful landscapes. After reaching Nubra, check in to your hotel or camp for an overnight stay.
Day 4 – Nubra Valley to Siachen Base Camp:
After breakfast, drive toward the historic Siachen Base Camp, located near the famous Siachen Glacier, known as the world’s highest battlefield. Here you can learn about the life of soldiers stationed in this extreme environment. On the way back, visit Panamik Hot Springs, where you can relax in the natural hot water. Later return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay at a campsite.
Day 5 – Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake:
After breakfast, travel to the beautiful Pangong Lake, located near the India-China border. During the journey you will witness stunning views of mountains and the Shyok River. Once you reach Pangong Lake, spend the rest of the day exploring the lakeside and enjoying the mesmerizing scenery as the lake changes colors throughout the day. The lake also became famous after appearing in the Bollywood film 3 Idiots. Overnight stay will be near the lake.
Day 6 – Pangong Lake to Leh:
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Leh. On the way, cross Chang La, another high-altitude pass offering spectacular views. You will also stop at Changla Baba Temple. Later, visit Druk Padma Karpo School, which gained fame as the “Rancho School” from the movie 3 Idiots. After sightseeing, continue to Leh and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7 – Departure from Leh:
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Depart from Leh, carrying wonderful memories of Ladakh’s mountains, valleys, lakes, and unique high-altitude experiences.
